Jelena Petrović

Jelena Petrović, born in 1980 in Belgrade, studied German Language and Literature and Theatre and Film Sciences in Belgrade and Vienna. She is currently working at the ERSTEN Foundation in Vienna. Jelena Petrović translates from German into Serbian and from Serbian into German. Her translations include works by Vladimir Kaminer (five stories from the book Russendisco [Russian Disco]), Vladimir Arsenijević (the stories Zidovi and Neukorenjenost as well as the text Zemlja s druge strane ogledala), Ingo Schulze (Handy) (title of the English translation: Cell Phone) and Arno Geiger (Anna nicht vergessen) (title of the English translation: Don’t Forget Anna).
