Jasmina Musabegović, born in 1941 in Vogošća near Sarajevo, studied Southern Slavic literatures and French at the Philosophical Faculty in Sarajevo. Receiving a grant from the French government she spent two years in Paris, where she wrote a book about the work of the Serbian writer, Rastko Petrović. Jasmina Musabegović publishes novels, essays and literary criticisms and translates from French. The focus of her novels is the woman in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She lives in Sarajevo and works as an editor with the publishing company “Svjetlost”.
