Gudrun Mebs (1944) is a German children’s book author. She started publishing her work in 1980s. For her radio plays and books she has received many accolades, including the German Young Adult Book Award (1984), the Austrian Children’s Book Prize and the Swiss Children’s Book Prize La vache qui lit. She lives between Munich and Italy.
