Elizabeta Lindner, born in 1971 in Skopje, studied German language and literature at the University of Skopje and modern German literature and Slavic studies at the University of Regensburg. She earned the Master’s Degree there in 2005. She is the editor of the literary portal SlovoKult.de that she established in 2007. Together with Igor Isakovski, she was the editor of the series of translations of German literature that was published by the publishing house Blesok in Skopje. After Isakovski’s death, she has taken the role of the editor for poetry in the publishing house. For her translation of poetry, Elizabeta Lindner received the Grigor Prlichev prize in 2014. In 2011, she received the translation prize of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture (BMUKK) for her translation of Thomas Bernhard’s Holzfällen.
