Dušan Šarotar

Dušan Šarotar, born in 1968 in Murska Sobota (Slovenia) is a writer, poet, screenwriter and photographer. He has written numerous scripts for documentaries and feature films, portraits of artists, children’s books and texts for puppet shows. As part of the European Capital of Culture 2012 project, he presented an exhibition of his photographs in Maribor. His poems and fiction writing have appeared in Slovenian and foreign anthologies and have been translated into numerous languages. He has been a scholarship holder in several European countries and a guest at many international festivals.
