Dino Pešut was born in Sisak, Croatia, in 1990 and studied screenwriting, dramaturgy and scenic writing in Zagreb. As an author, he was invited to the Forum of Young Authors of Europe at the Wiesbaden Theatre Biennale in 2012 with his very first play. He has been awarded the prestigious Croatian Marin Držić Prize four times, including for his play Der (vor)letzte Panda oder Die Statik (henschel SCHAUSPIEL), which was presented at the Berlin Theatertreffen in 2016. In 2018, his debut novel Poderana koljena was published followed by Tatin sin in 2020.
