Damjan Lalović, born in Zagreb in 1972, studied graphic design at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Zagreb. He has been working as a translator since 1998. From September 2000 to June 2004, he translated documents from Croatian into English and French for the UN Office in Zagreb. Since April 2005, Damjan Lalović has worked as an editor and translator from English, German and French for the publishing house Disput. His translations include works by Hans Magnus Enzensberger, Peter Altenberg, Gustav Meyrink, Ernst Cassirer, Charlotte Beradt and Victor Klemperer.
