Antonio Rossi was born in Maroggia, Switzerland, and studied Italian literature in Freiburg and Florence. Until now, he published three books of poetry: Ricognizioni (1979), Diafonie (1995) und Sesterno (2005). Together with the painter Samuele Gabai, he produced the volume Glyphé that includes poetry and etchings (1989). One of his interests is also the Italian poetry of the 15th and 16th centuries, especially the musician and poet Serafino Aquilano. Antonio Rossi is the Italian translator of poetry of Robert Walser.
