Aleksandar Gatalica, born in Belgrade in 1964, is a Serbian author, literary critic, and translator. He studied Literature and Ancient Greek. His translations include works by Sophocles and Euripides. As an author, he has won the NIN Award for his novel Veliki rat [The Big War].
