Aco Peroski, born in 1982 in Ohrid, Macedonia, studied at the Blaže Koneski Faculty of Philology in Skopje, where he gained his Ph.D. in 2009. He translates from English, French, Croatian and Serbian. He has translated over 70 titles, both fiction and non-fiction, including works from: Danilo Kiš, Borislav Pekić, Miloš Crnjanski, Filip David, Damir Karakaš, Boris Vian, Michel Houellebecq, Nicolas Bouvier, Leonard Cohen, Salman Rushdie, John Fowles, Hilary Mantel, Zadie Smith, Colson Whitehead, Ali Smith, Julian Barnes, Iris Murdoch, Charles Taylor. He is co-owner and editor of the publishing house Artkonekt.
