Aleksandra Kostić
Aleksandra Kostić was born in Zagreb in 1968. She studied Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy in Belgrade. She has been working as a freelance translator of philosophical and similar texts from German to English since 1996. She worked for the Third Programme of Radio Belgrade for several years, and afterwards for various non-government organizations (Nova srpska politička misao, Peščanik, Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Beogradski Krug). Aleksandra Kostić published film critiques and is member of the international film critics‘association FIPRESCI. She has translated Peter Sloterdijk (U istom čamcu, 2001), Jürgen Habermas (Postmetafizičko mišljenje, 2002), Susan Buck-Morss (Svet snova i katastrofa, 2005), Max Weber (Politički spisi, 2006), Carl Menger (Istraživanja o metodi društvenih nauka, 2007) and Axel Honneth (Borba za priznanje, 2009) among others.
