Bojana Vajt

Bojana Vajt, born in 1962 in Ljubljana, studied philosophy and sociology of culture at the University of Ljubljana. During her student years, she began translating essays from the humanities and social sciences. After graduation, she worked on a freelance basis in the field of culture, directing radio plays and translating for cultural magazines. In 2012, she moved to Croatia, where she deepened her knowledge of the Croatian language and literature. She was soon offered an exceptional opportunity to translate the novel Triemeron by Nedjeljko Fabri. The successful translation of this demanding work opened the door for her into the world of literary translation, and since then she has been translating prose, drama, classical and contemporary poetry, and translation theory.
