One morning, a writer leaves his flat, forgetting his notebook and pen at home. In the city, he makes repeated (always unsuccessful) attempts to buy new ones. He repeatedly strays from his desired path, cartographically, mentally as well as narratively. The events of this (seemingly) uneventful event (“his aimless walk”) is reflected not only in the meandering parallels between walking, speaking, thinking and writing, but also this story about storytelling itself. Echoes of Thomas Bernhard shimmer through the text.
