A study of the history and poetics of intertextuality, the concept of which was coined by Julia Kristeva together with Roland Barthes in the late 1960s. The ontological starting points of this concept include Bakhtin’s dialogicity, Derrida’s critique of Western logocentrism, De Saussure’s deconstruction of the sign and structure model, the aesthetics of reception and the culture of memory.
