Benjamin Bidder

Benjamin Bidder, born in 1981, studied economics in Bonn, Mannheim and St. Petersburg. He is a graduate of the Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists’ (ifp) journalism training programme, which included stints at the Märkische Oderzeitung and the Financial Times Deutschland. Benjamin Bidder has been with SPIEGEL since 2009, initially as an editor in the politics section of SPIEGEL ONLINE. From 2009 to 2016 he was its Moscow correspondent. In September 2016, he returned to the editorial department of SPIEGEL ONLINE. He lives in Hamburg with his wife and two children.
