Igor Crnković, born in 1985 in Zagreb, studied Philosophy and German language at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. He works at the Austrian Trade Commission in Zagreb as a project manager and translator of specialist literature and marketing texts for the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. As a translator and editor, he worked on the development of the German-Croatian-Serbian phraseological dictionary Dr. Lexikon, published by the Austrian publisher Vienna Publishing. In his spare time he translates German-language literature into Croatian: so far, his translations of the works of Marlen Haushofer, Mona Kasten, Elisabeth Hermann and Maria Lazar have been published.
