Rita cannot find her footing in the world. She tries to make do with less and to accept her lot. Early on she comes to realise that dreams or things that are lost can be replaced by others. Through her observations she sees that a person is a vessel into which, over the years, everything enters from the outside – opinions, behaviours, gestures.
