The story of a leftist Parisian intellectual who returns, after more than 25 years, home, to the shores of the Adriatic Sea. The reason? The testament of the late philosopher Walter Stikler, murdered in unexplained circumstances on one of the Dalmatian islands, is to be read. There, our protagonist meets the activist Tessa Simon, and slowly the two of them get to know each other in Stikler’s old house. At the same time, the mystery surrounding his death grows thicker and thicker.
