Tyll

Tyll Ulenspiegel – vagabond and showman, entertainer and provocateur – is born at the beginning of the 17th century. In the village where his father, a miller, works, the self-proclaimed magician and world explorer soon comes into conflict with the church. Tyll has to flee, the baker’s daughter Nele accompanies him. On his way through a country devastated by the Thirty Years’ War, they meet many common people and also some of the so-called greats.
