Sladostrašće

Asja Bakić writes about more or less dystopian worlds in the eleven stories collected in this book. In it, we for example encounter an AI software that specialises in the sexual satisfaction of women, which is also supposed to console them about the fact that men went extinct. Gender fluidity, climate change, time travel, underworlds, aliens – the author’s imagination is limitless, as is her love for all shades of the absurd. As in Mars, Asja Bakić focuses in her stories on women who are fighting for their lives, who are searching for their own meaning in the world, or who are putting their desires into practice. From a steadfast feminist and socially critical perspective, Asja Bakić mixes genres such as weird fiction, speculative fiction, horror and eroticism in her writing.
