In this volume of poetry, Cvetka Lipuš plays with unflinching humour and self-deprecating irony with the topic of individual human existence. High demands on oneself stand in opposition to a fragile physicality and the surrounding omnipotent gravity. The basic components of the human body, their stability, their earthly anchoring, make our longing for spheres, for places outside space and time, seem almost impossible. And yet it is necessary to work against this impulse of destruction with Kantian resolve, to stand up and longingly ask Madame Moon to let down her braid.
