Zagreb: A young man is found dead in the park of a psychiatric hospital. He is none other than the leader of an extreme right-wing youth movement. The psychiatric patient, who was regularly visited by the murdered man, claims to be the poodle of Ante Pavelić, the founder of the Croatian Ustasha movement. During the investigation, young Inspector Rakitić gets to know a disturbing microcosm that reaches right up to the highest circles. He uncovers relationships between politics and the media. Rakitić is looking into the human abyss, but also follows literary clues in order to solve the case.
