Ivana pred morjem

The narrator returns from Paris to Slovenia to sell her late mother’s house. While clearing things out, she comes across a photo of her grandmother as a young woman, which reveals a previously hidden secret. Slowly, the narrator peels away layer upon layer of the past to reveal the truth: was her mother really an only child? And if not, what happened to the other child?
