                                                                            Veronica D. Niculescu, born 1968, is a Romanian writer and literary translator. Her publications include the short-story volumes Adeb (2004) and Roşu, roşu, catifea (2012) and the novel Spre văi de jad și sălbăție (2016). She has received several accolades for her work. As a literary translator she has translated titles by Vladimir Nabokov, Samuel Beckett, Siri Hustvedt and many others into Romanian. She lives and works in Bucharest.
