Urs Faes

Urs Faes was born in  1947 in Aarau. He studied history with focus on colonialism, fascism and history of Switzerland, as well as German studies, philosophy and ethnology. He lived over many years in Ireland, North America and in South America. He now lives as a writer in Zürich. His works were distinguished many times, among others with the Literature Prize of the Canton Solothurn, the Swiss Schiller Prize and most recently the Zollikon Arts Prize (2013). His book Paarbildung was nominated fort he Swiss Book Prize 2010.
