Stanimir Panayotov studied Philosophy in Sofia (B.A.) and completed his studies at the Euro-Balkan Institute in Macedonia with an M.A. in Philosophy and Gender Studies. He has now been involved for many years in the Bulgarian LGBT movement. Stanimir Panayotov translates from English and Macedonian into Bulgarian, focussing on the topics of Continental Philosophy, as well as Gender and Queer Studies. His translations include works by Adrienne Rich, Eve Sedgwick, Judith Butler, Wendy Brown, Diana Fuss, David M. Halperin, Derek Jarman and Jasna Koteska.
