Olaf Ihlau

Olaf Ihlau was born in 1942 in Kaliningrad. Journalist with a PhD in social sciences, he has been reporting for more than 30 years about the political situation in India and Afghanistan, thus being one of the Germany’s best experts on these key regions in geopolitical terms. For 16 years, Olaf Ihlau had been the head of various departments at the weekly magazine Spiegel, most recently the head of the foreign department.
