Mirko Bonné, born in Tegernsee in 1965, lives as a writer and translator in Hamburg. His diverse oeuvre includes not only widely acclaimed novels, but also several volumes of poetry, short stories, essays and travel journals. For his work he was awarded the Prix Relay (2008), the Marie Luise Kaschnitz Prize (2010) and the Rainer Malkowski Prize (2014), among others. Mirko Bonné is co-editor of the Jahrbuch der Lyrik 2019. In addition to Sherwood Anderson, Emily Dickinson, John Keats, Grace Paley, Henry James and William Butler Yeats, he has translated numerous other authors from the English and French.
