Lisa Tetzner, born in 1894 in Zittau, was fairy-tale teller, director of children’s radio station and author of socially-engaged novels that have many young readers even today. Her books about “Children from House 67” and “Hans Urian” have been and still are very successful. In 1933, she followed her husband Kurt Kläber (a.k.a. Kurt Held) into Swiss exile. She died in 1963 in Carona in the Swiss canton of Tessin.
