Jedrt Lapuh Maležič, born in 1979, studied translation studies in Ljubljana. After graduating, she worked for a translation agency. Since 2007 she has now been working as a freelance literary translator from the English and French. Among the authors she has translated into Slovene are Khaled Hosseini, Julie Otsuka, Jeet Thayil, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Jr, John Boyne, Mircea Eliade, Marie-Aude Murail, and Jacqueline Raoul-Duval. In 2016, she published two volumes of short stories, Težkomentalci and Bojne barve, followed by her debut novel Vija vaja venin in 2018.
