Frédéric Pajak, born 1955 in Suresnes, is a French and Swiss author, illustrator, and editor. In 1987, he won the prize for screenplays in work at the Locarno Festival. L’Immense solitude, published in 1999, made him famous. He was awarded the Prix Michel-Dentan for this book in 2000. Also in 2000, Pajak published a book on the poet Guillaume Apollinaire: Le chagrin d’amour. And in 2001, in collaboration with Yves Tenret, Humour, une biographie de James Joyce. In 2006, the novel Guerre sexuelle was published by Gallimard. To date, 9 volumes have been published in his award-winning series Manifeste incertain.
