Elena Prodeva

Elena Prodeva, born in 1954 in Sofia, attended the German-language grammar school in Sofia and went on to study German. After completing her studies, she worked as a German teacher at a grammar school in Sofia. She worked over many years as a journalist for the Bulgarian News Agency. Since 1990, Elena Prodeva has worked as a freelance translator. Amongst her publications are the translations of authors such as Friedrich Schiller, Gisela Elsner, Erich Schaake, Jürgen Roth, Andreas Eschbach, Christa Pöppelmann, and Kerstin Gier.
