Dinçer Güçyeter, born in 1979 in Nettetal, is a German theatre maker, poet, editor, and publisher. Güçyeter was born as the son of a bar owner and an office worker. In 2012, Güçyeter founded ELIF Verlag. The publisher’s focus lies on poetry. 2017 saw the publication of Aus Glut geschnitzt, followed by Mein Prinz, ich bin das Ghetto in 2021. In 2022 Güçyeter received the Peter Huchel Prize. For his novel, Unser Deutschlandmärchen, he was awarded the Leipzig Book Fair Award in 2023. 2024 he was awarded the Else Lasker Schüler Prize.
