Borjana Prošev-Oliver, born in Zagreb in 1962, graduated in general and comparative literature from Skopje University and received her PhD on “Exile in Macedonian Literature” from Zagreb University. Since 1986, she has been working as a senior lecturer at the Department of Macedonian Language and Literature at Zagreb University. She deals with literary-theoretical and linguistic Croatian-Macedonian comparative topics. Together with Dijana Vlatković, she wrote the first comprehensive bilingual Croatian-Macedonian explanatory dictionary. She also translates literary fiction and scientific texts from the Croatian into Macedonian and vice versa. She publishes her own short stories on Jesam li vam pričala and on Facebook .
