Biljana Srbljanović

Biljana Srbljanović, born in 1970 in Stockholm, has written plays since 1995 and has already had much success on the stage with  Beogradska trilogija [The Belgrade Trilogy] and Porodične priče [Family Stories]. She has also been extremely successful with subsequent plays, which, in addition to numerous  productions, have lead to repeated invitations to international festivals, contracts for work from well-known German theatres, and awards such as the Ernst Toller Prize and the “Europe Prize New Theatrical Realities” (Premio Europa). Her plays have now already been produced at over 100 theatres worldwide. Biljana Srbljanović lives in Belgrade and Paris.
