Benedict Wells

Benedict Wells was born in 1984 in Munich. His school years were spent at three Bavarian boarding schools. After graduating in 2003 he moved to Berlin, where he decided against going to university and solely focused on writing. His highly acclaimed debut novel Becks letzter Sommer [Beck’s Last Summer] was published in 2008 and won the Bavarian development prize for artists. His third novel Fast genial [Almost Genius] spent several months on the German bestseller list. After several years in Barcelona, Wells now works and lives in Berlin again.
