Ilira Shurbani

Ilira Shurbani, born in 1956 in Tirana, studied at the Faculty for History and Philology at Tirana University. She worked as a teacher from 1987 to 2000 and from 2000 to 2005 she worked in the Diplomatic Service. Since 2005 she has worked as a freelance translator from English, Italian and Croatian.

Ilira Shurbani has translated the books Ministarstvo boli (title of the English translation: The Ministry of Pain) and Muzej bezuvjetne predaje (title of the English translation: The Museum of Unconditional Surrender) (Dubravka Ugrešić) into Albanian, which have been published, with the financial support of  TRADUKI by Dituria, Tirana.
