Dagmar Leupold, born in Niederlahnstein in 1955, is an author and translator living in Munich. Leupold studied German language and literature, philosophy and classical philology in Marburg, Tübingen and New York. From 2004-2021 she was head of the ‘Studio Literatur und Theater’ at the University of Tübingen. Her work includes novels, short stories, poems, and essays. She has been nominated for the German Book Prize several times, including for Dagegen die Elefanten!.
