During her vacation in the small Swiss town of Ticino, Hannah Arendt thinks back on her life, revisiting old memories. She is 68, the biggest upheavals of her life are behind her, and yet the controversy surrounding her book Eichmann in Jerusalem still bothers her. Discussing it with new and old acquaintances, she gradually manages to bring clarity into the darkness of this episode in her life.
