Dark, frightening things lurk beneath the surface: a woman pretends to be a loving mother to her young daughter, but on the inside she longs for her self-determined life before the arrival of the child. Eventually she fails to intervene when disaster looms. Another woman can only be happy when her friend is miserable. This volume comprises thirteen stories by Mojca Kumerdej in which she brings the inner world of her characters to the surface.
