Viktor Paskov, born in Sofia in 1949, was a Bulgarian author and musician. He studied music and theatre in Leipzig. After completing his studies in 1976 he remained another four years in the GDR, where he worked as a jazz musician and opera singer. In 1980, he returned to Bulgaria, where he worked as a screenwriter among other things. From 2002 to 2004 he was the director of the Bulgarian Cultural Centre in Berlin. For his book Autopsija na edna ljubov (Autopsie) he was awarded the Bulgarian literature prize Helikon in 2005. Paskov died in 2009 in Berlin.
