Semezdin Mehmedinović, born in Kiseljak in 1960, is a Bosnian author and editor. After the war in Bosnia he emigrated and left for the US. His novel, Sarajevo Blues, also available in German translation, tells of the siege of the city of Sarajevo. For his book Me’med, crvena bandana i pahuljica, Mehmedinović received the Meša Selimović Prize in 2017 for the Best Book in Bosnian as well as the Croatian Mirko Kovač Literature Award. He lives and works in Sarajevo.
